Setting up your environment - Powershell

Some people might know that I use PowerShell for most of my projects. But why use PowerShell over python? Well for me it's preference. My background is in windows system administration so it's a good fit for me. Also, I just like the brackets. PowerShell can be installed on any OS as well.

Install for Ubuntu

Install for Mac

What version of PowerShell do I need?

You will want the latest version you can get. As of this Article, version 7.4 is out. One of the reasons you want the latest version is because earlier versions of PowerShell make you escape quote which is just too much of a pain.

What program to use to edit your PowerShell scripts?

Personally, I use VSCode. But there are a lot of options out there.

Download VSCode

Getting started

This is the hard part. Deciding what to build and where to start. I'll make this easy for you. In this series, we're going to build our own liquidity provider for the chia blockchain. We will try to maximize our returns by providing liquidity for assets in dexie's Liquidity Incentive Program.

There are currently two pairs that will earn DBX tokens, and one pair that will earn HOA tokens.

What you need to get started

You need the following things:

-The Chia Wallet
-PowerShell 7.4 or higher
-VSCode
-Any amount of XCH
-optional Any amount of the other token you wish to provide liquidity for, but this is not required.
